Dubai from the UK

There are some great deals on flights and holidays to Dubai at the moment. Netflights is a good place to look (see below) because they offer Dubai flights from all airlines including Qatar, Etihad, Royal Brunei and of course Emirates and BA, they have return flights to Dubai (DXB) under £250 including tax.

On the hotel side netflights have an interesting offer of free half board and exclusive discounted rates on Dubai hotels with prices starting from as little as £33. Plus free nights and free half board at the world famous 5-star deluxe Arabian Court at One&Only Royal Mirage Hotel.

One of the main draws for Dubai is the shopping which is world renowned thanks to the duty free shopping at the airport and some of the new malls such as the Mercato Mall which specialises in Mediterranean products, The Dubai Mall which also features a world class aquarium and the Lamcy Plaza which is popular with Americans. Dubai is very international with less than 20% of the population being national Arabs.

Things to bear in mind :

– You have to be over 21 to drink alcohol in Dubai and nightclubs are for over 25’s.

–  Flight time approx 5 hours from UK airports.

– Dubai is a good stopover destination if flying to Australia or New Zealand.

– The weekends in Dubai are a day early, they are Friday and Saturday
