Palma, Mallorca

Palma the capital of both Mallorca and the Balearic Islands, is without doubt a busy tourist destination, but it is also home to some well known historical attractions, such as Bellver Castle, constructed around 1300, and the Catalan Gothic La Lonja, which holds cultural and art exhibitions. Porta de Soller has a sheltered bay and is good for swimming and admiring the views. The nightlife on the island is always hectic and you will find some glitzy clubs, as well as venues which play live music. Sorry for the cliche but whatever your tastes, Palma de Mallorca certainly offers something for everyone.  Perfect for a short break using one of the many, many cheap flights from almost all the international airports in the UK, you’ll also benefit from a short airport transfer.
